What belongs here

Legitimate community events that are useful to people living in or visiting Northeastern Connecticut. Libraries, town departments, nonprofits, schools, museums, churches, arts groups, civic groups, and independent event organizers are welcome.

• Events should be relevant to the Quiet Corner and surrounding communities.
• Events should be open to the public, or an identifiable part of the public, such as teens, families, or seniors.
• Details must be accurate, with a clear date, time, location, and organizer.
• The person submitting must be authorized to represent the event or organization.

What doesn’t belong here

• Spam, misleading listings, or discriminatory content.
• Content unrelated to community events.
• Listings whose main purpose is commercial advertising or promoting a sale.

Community markets, cultural events, and nonprofit fundraisers can be appropriate. Include the actual activity and who it serves.

What happens after you submit

Every new event starts as Pending. An administrator reviews it before it appears on the calendar. We may edit submissions for clarity or formatting, or decline events that don’t meet these guidelines.

Submit one listing for a weekly or monthly series and include its end date. Please avoid sending duplicate listings.

A note about privacy & accuracy

Your name, submitter email, and contact phone are visible only to the administrator. Organization details, event links, and everything you include in the event description are public after approval, so please avoid putting private contact information in those fields.

Accessibility details should describe confirmed features. Don’t assume a venue is accessible if you haven’t checked.
